Dunrobin Castle, Dornoch, and Glenmorangie Distillery

We will pass through some amazing scenery today. Taking a high road through some moorland and having a brief photo stop at the Millionaires View.

The Falls of Shin is an impressive falls which is a primary route for salmon to reach their breeding grounds further up river. Sometimes, if you are lucky enough salmon can be seen leaping the falls as they make their way home during the autumn months.

Dunrobin Castle should be a short drive away after this. The castle was built and dates back to 1275 by Robert, Earl of Sutherland, The impressive house contains 189 rooms, with a rich collection of fine furniture, paintings, tapestries and objects d’art. The castle is magnificently set in a great park and you are free to walk in these beautiful gardens which overlook the sea. There should also be a falconry display within the grounds.

Your journey after this will pass over the Dornoch bridge and shortly after we’ll reach the Royal Burgh of Tain where Glenmorangie Distillery is situated.
